CoAX Binni - Origin of Process Models
-------------------------------------

Some process models for interaction in te CoAX Binni 2001
demonstration are based on interactions between a commander (now
called CFC) and a combat officer (now called CCO). The tasks are a
simplification of the results of the Air C2 Process Study which
Patrick Beautement of QinetiQ, Malvern,UK led until 1999. The full
study CD is restricted, but was released to AFRL, Rome, NY, USA as
part of the TBMCS MOU with Hanscom AFB. The Process study looked at
the end to end air-related activities and events from Military
Strategic to tactical levels and studied the following:

*       US, UK and NATO CONOPS etc;
*       attended Blue Flag, Union Flash and Central Enterprise exercises;
*       visited a number of active operational centres;
* worked over several years at validating the work with UK CAOC
        (High Wycombe), 32 AOG (US) Ramstein, IDCAOC at (NATO) Ramstein;
* and also reviewed existing doctrine etc documentation.

The diagrams B6-9 and B6-10 in the CoAX document are high-level 'site
maps' from the CD.
